The TomTom 60 M has an extra large 6″ interactive, high resolution screen making it easier to operate. Simply tap pinch and zoom. It features lifetime maps, always go out with an up to date map. It also features map share which uses data from a database of 21 million TomTom drivers. You can update your maps 4 times a year to find out where the new roads and junctions are. The maps are in crystal clear 3D making it hassle free to negotiate complex junctions. Using voice prompts and arrows the TomTom 60 M negotiates you around the most hazardous road manoeuvres.

This sat nav has a parking assist feature which will navigate you to the nearest car park or off the road public parking which is a great aid for city driving. It features IQ routes which intelligently calculates the time in real time your journey will take on any route using data from other drivers. It takes about 60 seconds to locate a gps signal and then you are up and running. It also has information on emergency services from road side assistance to the location of the nearest hospital. You can programme in points of interest which you may want to visit on your journey, from cathedrals to restaurants.

The TomTom 60M features information on speed traps warning you of speed cameras that are coming up and also informing you of the speed limit. You will not be getting speed tickets by accident. You can add notes for your mot frequent journeys making a to b a peronalised experience. One customer found difficulty in updating the Tom Tom software and said the Tom Tom home on the computer was very badly written. Others said the large screen and big buttons on the menu meant it was a breeze to use which must be a plus when you are trying to concentrate. Another customer said they missed the live traffic updates they had on their previous sat nav. For crystal clear 3D maps which are easy to use and following Tom Tom’s reputation as having the most up to date maps this could be the device for you.
